This £56 million project undertaken in partnership with Islington Council, Southern Housing and Copthorn Homes is due to end in 2006.
It involves redesigning and refurbishing the 981 home Marquess Estate in Canonbury ward and includes demolition and new building.
The scheme is supported by a programme of social and economic regeneration activity for the estate and surrounding area, focusing on tackling unemployment and activities for young people as well as work with local traders on Essex Road.
