King's Cross Central and Channel Tunnel Rail Terminal

This massive physical multi billion pound regeneration project is centred on one of Europe's largest inner city sites straddling both Camden and Islington.

The high speed Channel Tunnel rail terminus is due to be completed in 2006 and the King's Cross Central development behind it will create of a new commercial, residential and leisure quarter expected to be completed by 2015.

Other physical regeneration activity such as at Regent's Quarter is already underway and it is clear that an investment on this scale will have an enormous impact on the neighbouring communities and beyond. Around 60 million passengers a year (almost as many as Heathrow) are expected to use this transport hub by 2020.
