The Islington Strategic Partnership brings together Islington Council, Islington Police, the Fire Service, Employment Service, City and Islington College, NHS, London Metropolitan University and a range of local voluntary and community organisations. The partnership is involved in developing programmes to bring about the borough's regeneration and renewal and has set up theme groups that deal with active citizenship and community empowerment; business, jobs and training; crime and safety; education and livelong learning; environment and sustainability; health and wellbeing; housing and improving mainstream services. |
The Islington Strategic Partnership is responsible for distributing funding from the Neighbourhood Renewal Fund to a range of community based projects to achieve its objectives. More than £26.5 million has been granted since 2001. For further information visit the Islington Strategic Partnership website. Feeding into the partnership is the Islington Community Network, a 'network of networks' that acts as a forum and is a collective of Islington's voluntary and community sector. It also provides an opportunity for local groups to work together. For further information visit the Islington Community Network website
