The Islington Health Partnership brings together Islington Council, Islington Primary Care Trust, Islington Voluntary Action Council and other community organisations to develop programmes and work to improve health and reduce health inequality in the borough.
As well as developing strategies it allocates resources to a range of projects and organisations focussed on meeting the needs of socially excluded groups of residents.
The partnership is responsible for the operation of the local Health Action Zone
