At the Earth Summit held in Rio de Janeiro in 1992 local authorities signed up to the Local Agenda 21 agreement which set out how they would work in partnership with their communities towards sustainable development.
Islington Agenda 21 is the local partnership that works to find green solutions to the problems faced locally.
The partnership brings together Islington Council, the voluntary sector, business, educational institutions and local individuals to develop a range of projects.
