The Lloyd TSB Foundation gives grants to voluntary organisations at both a London and national level and has an income of £22.5m in 2005.
It is particularly keen to support small community groups where small amounts of money can make a significant difference to local people's lives.
Most grants are for one-off payments that average £5,000 for regional applications although in some cases funding is given for over two years.
